Thanks Bart - Somehow I knew it wouldn't take long for you to comment, you certainly know your playground ;) And I didn't come up with the influence measurement or anything, I was more referring to the question in general that's bugging me and how I want to see the answer.

It's good to see that I seem to have misunderstood part of the measurement, thanks for clarifying, as a pattern I do see how that makes sense.

Anyway, as said, I do remain curious on how the software will evolve and I think mainly to find out how you can make it a bit more people/blog centric instead of just blog.

Kris, thanks for your kind words. We were thinking about influence before your posts, but your idea's have helped form our opinions.

Just to set one thing straight: the MetaTale ranking does NOT take into account the frequency of posting. Nor the raw number of outgoing links. These two things are patterns we see occuring with top influencers - they are an effect, not a cause.

Thus: top influencers seem to have more frequent posting, and more outgoing links. However, it is not because you have a lot of postings and a lot of outgoing links, that you automatically become an influencer.
